How Cell 6 Collective Helps Incarcerated Artists
The Cell 6 Collective Model
Welcome to Cell 6 Collective, where art knows no bounds! We are passionate artist agents dedicated to shining a spotlight on the incredible talent of incarcerated artists from all over the United States.
Twice a year, we embark on a journey to discover six exceptional artists, each bringing their unique vision and creativity to life through various mediums and styles. Our mission is to introduce these hidden gems to gallerists and art collectors throughout the vibrant greater Boston area.
At Cell 6, our goal is simple yet powerful: to showcase the remarkable artistic talent within the incarcerated community, raise awareness about the urgent issue of mass incarceration in the United States, and empower prisoners to professionalize and support themselves through their art.
The six artists we select may submit six artworks for us to sell on their behalf during their six-month residency period. After the six months are over, they may be invited to become resident artists, continuing their journey with us and further enriching our community with their creativity.
Join us in celebrating the resilience, creativity, and spirit of these artists. Together, we can make a difference and inspire change through the transformative power of art.
